| The Easy Way:
1. Take the Ferry from San Jorge to Moyogalpa, 3 USD. (1hr) Check the boat and ferry schedule for departure times below, but keep in mind that they often change without notice. 2. Take a Taxi from Moyogalpa to Little Morgans, 25-30 USD. If you are a group of 4 or 5 people it only costs 5 USD a person making it an easy decision (1hr). Arrange taxi once you arrive in Moyogalpa, as there are agents in San Jorge who have been charging people too much to pre-book taxis and it is unnecessary. The Long Way : 1. Take the Ferry from San Jorge to Moyogalpa, 2 USD. (1hr) 2. Take a bus to Balgue, stops in Altagracia, 3 USD. This is a long, hot, crowded and bumpy bus ride that may stop in Altagracia for awhile (2hr). If there is no bus to Balgue, you can catch the Merida bus and get off at Santa Cruz and walk 300m. |

As all public transportation in Ometepe is unpredictable and times can fluctuate. Basically all you need to know is that there are ferries running all day during daylight hours and that times are limited on Sundays.
